Iris are in Bloom

 

A mishmash of “found” iris are blooming in the yard.  Some were found at the back of the property.  We moved them up to a sunnier location so they could bloom; some were gifts and some were borrowed.

I am amazed at the number of large, bearded flowers blooming.  I fully expected smaller, more common flowers.  And while I love those old time, hearty stand-bys, it’s been great fun to be surprised by these big, handsome blooms.

Random Vacation Thoughts

My SIL, Renee, was discussing Christmas.  I cannot believe that it’s only 63 days until that Day (yes, they have an app for that).

So much to do for the holidays, for work, around the house, blah, blah, blah.  All I can think about is vacation.

Here is my ideal – Jamaica or Puerto Vallarta or really any place tropical with some adults in late January.

 

Spring Break in Estes Park at the YMCA of the Rockies with the kids.

And then Sanibel the first of June.

Sound like a plan?
